Millbrook High Closed Wednesday Due to Fire

There will be no classes at Millbrook High School Wednesday, although teachers should report to work as usual. A fire at the school gutted several classrooms last night.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what started the fire. The flames broke out around 7 p.m. while a basketball game was in progress. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, but not before it gutted some classrooms and caused extensive smoke and soot damage.

Officials are still assessing the damage.
