Harnett County Courthouse to Stay Downtown

In Harnett County, constituents stood up to their commissioners, and this morning they're thankful they got what they wanted.

Commissioners wanted to build a new courthouse, away from downtown Lillington. But residents worried the move would hurt business, so they filed a lawsuit.

Wednesday, a Superior Court judge ruled that an old law requiring the courthouse to remain downtown still stands, ending debate over whether to build the new building.
