They combined forces to set up a routine sobriety checkpoint for four hours overnight. From 11 p.m. until 3 a.m. they arrested 19 people on DWI charges, which they say is a high number.

In addition, officers wrote 130 citations for everything from traffic violations to narcotics charges.
The checkpoint was set up at the intersection of Bragg Boulevard and Bargain Street.
