Fayetteville police have charged a man in connection with a cold case rape investigation that occurred on Aug. 26, 2006.
Keith Devon Manuel, 40, has been charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sex offense, first-degree kidnapping and first-degree burglary. The incident took place at the victim's home in Fayetteville after Manuel broke in while the victim was home.

Manuel was already serving a life sentence in prison for the murder of Jessica Morgan and the murder of Alfreda S. Jones, which were investigated by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, police said.
