The state Division of Motor Vehicles is making plans to implement a new federal law aimed at stopping violent stalkers.
Starting September 13th, there will no longer be access to public records such as a driver's name and driving records. For years, anyone could go down to the DMV office with a license plate number and get all of that information for a small fee.
