Four relatives in town for a family reunion were injured Sunday morning, two of them fatally, when they were hit by a car while out for a jog.
Police say charges are pending against Johnny Townsend, 38, of 1125 Vesper Lane. Police have identified him as the driver of the car.

The two joggers who died at the scene were identified as Reginald Hardeen and Romie Stokes, Jr., both of Norfolk, Va.
Michelle Hardeen and Nanneette Smith were also injured and were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where they are listed in good condition.
The accident occurred on Eastern Boulevard near Middle Road, just before 7 a.m.
