Bone Marrow Drive Surpasses Expectations

It's called "Operation Life Gift" because what you give could save someone's life. Saturday, organizers happily called it a success.

Fayetteville launched a bone marrow registry drive on Monday. Potential donors give a blood sample to see if their name can be added to the marrow donor list.

The organizers' goal was to get 10,000 people to sign up by 4:00 p.m. Saturday. They surpassed that goal by 465 participants. That's a new national record for one drive.
