Durham Police Officer Faces Child Abuse Charge

A Durham police sergeant is accused of hitting his 13-year-old son with a nightstick.

Sergeant Ron Hodge faces a misdemeanor child abuse charge. Durham county sheriff's officials say Hodge lost control while spanking his son May 4.
