Durham Police and the Division of Motor Vehicles are cracking down on illegal inspection stickers. That was the reason behind several checkpoints set up in Durham Thursday.
Police say there have been problems recently with counterfeit stickers and the theft of legitimate stickers. They say these practices often surface when people fear their cars won't pass inspections.
