Durham Candidate Convicted Of Meeting Disruption

Steve Matherly is running for a seat on Durham's school board. But on Thursday, he was convicted of disrupting one of their meetings.

Matherly was found guilty of assaulting a government officer and disrupting an official meeting. He was found not guilty on similar charges last year.

Matherly was sentenced to 18 months probation. A judge told him if he disrupts another meeting, he could be thrown in jail.
