The city of Raleigh is gearing up for another year of its Summer Youth Employment Program.
The program gives teens ages 15 to 18 a chance to develop their skills by spending a summer working for the city. Jobs include office staffers, light labor and recreation counselors. They work 20 to 30 hours a week and earn $7.25 an hour. Teens must live inside Raleigh's city limits to apply. About 175 positions are available.

Teens also can participate in workshops and a mentoring program.
Interviews are slated for March 3 to March 31 at community centers around the city. The jobs run from June 13 to Aug. 12.
