Outdoor festival goers will be in hog heaven in Hillsborough this weekend.
Hillsborough Hog Days starts with a cookoff Friday night at 5:30.

"We have between 30 and 35 cooking teams that come in," says event organizer Frank Hartig. "They are judged on the cooking, meat, and the sauce.
"What started out as a Friday night where you just have some people out in a designated area doing the cooking -- that's now turned into a mini festival," Hartig says.
The not-so-mini event almost broke a world record last year for the most people attending a barbecue festival. That record could be broken this year, when 50,000 people and 9,000 pounds of barbecue are expected.
The fun continues Saturday from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
The fundraiser will spotlight 30 vendors this year, as the 18-year tradition combines food with the fun of music, rides and 250 antique cars. There is even a contest for the best dressed pig.
