Pittsboro Street In Chapel Hill Closed For Repairs

There's a traffic tie-up for people heading to Chapel Hill. Pittsboro Street is closed near the Carolina Inn for emergency utility repairs.

On Wednesday afternoon, a crew noticed some damage to a tunnel that runs underneath the road. Vibration from traffic could make it worse.

Crews hope to have one lane re-opened in the coming days. However, repairs won't be finished for another 6-to-8 weeks.
