A traffic violation netted a Connecticut man wanted for murder in Florida after a North Carolina Highway Patrol trooper noticed blood on the man's hands and arms.

Bartell was arrested after troopers noticed blood on his hands and arms, as well as on the side of the 1994 Chrysler Concord he had been driving. The Highway Patrol said Bartell failed to produce proper identification and provided a false name to troopers.
Bartell is being held without bond at the Johnston County Sheriff's Office after Jacksonville County, Fla., authorities confirmed with them that he was wanted for questioning in connection with the discovery of a body found at a home there.
The victim was identified as Jermaine Curtis Taylor, 26, of Jacksonville, Fla.
