UNC-CH To Offer Three-Week 'Maymester'

Tar Heel students may soon have a chance to earn more credits in one calendar year.

UNC-Chapel Hill administrators are proposing a "Maymester". The three-week term after the spring semester would allow students to take one class.

The school came up with the idea as a part of their re-accreditation process. A pilot program with five courses is being considered for 2007.
