Durham Mother Pleads Guilty In Daughter's Death

A mother pleaded guilty Tuesday for her adopted daughter's death.

Melissa Wilkins had permanent brain damage after being abused in 1995. In 2003, the young girl died from those injuries.

Her mother, Melinda Wilkins, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter. In addition to probation, the judge ordered her to stay away from young children.
