Notasium co-founder Preston Clarke tells me that the music-based play space, built, in part, thanks to money raised during a successful online fundraising campaign, will be ready for play Aug. 24.

The Durham-based play space will feature a 3,000-square-foot play area with pieces designed to look and sound like a variety of musical instruments, a karaoke room and more. It also will offer music classes and lessons for young children and their adults and up.
