NCCU, NCSU form dual-degree program partnership

​North Carolina Central University and North Carolina State University have partnered to establish an engineering and physics dual-degree program.

A formal agreement between the universities will be signed June 22 at 1 p.m. at NCCU.

Students will be able to obtain bachelors of science degrees in both physics and electrical engineering. Admitted students at NCCU will complete the first three years of physics curriculum before transferring to NCSU for an additional two years to complete the electrical engineering curriculum.

The partnership was developed in March between NC State’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and NC Central’s Department of Mathematics and Physics.

The first students enrolled in the dual-degree program will begin their coursework in August.
