N.C. Educators Make Recommendations For Struggling Schools

The report is in: the state needs to make better use of current resources to help struggling schools.

The recommendation stemmed from a meeting last year about low-performing and rural schools.

A state educators group presented its study Tuesday in Raleigh. The group said North Carolina needs to find ways to make leaders out of the highest-qualified teachers.

Another suggestion was to create more incentives to bring high-quality teachers to hard-to-staff locations.
