During this month, North Carolina will join the nation in observing the rich heritage and legacy of the Hispanic Latino community. We are thankful for the many Hispanic families who call North Carolina home and are privileged to have such Hispanic residents contributing to our state, ranging from public service to large and small businesses owners, educators and health care providers.

As this is a month of celebration and appreciation of the rich culture and tradition of the Hispanic community, it is my hope that everyone across the state will join with me in honoring the indispensable role of the Hispanic community to not only the state of North Carolina, but throughout our nation.
