'High concern' raised for missing teen

Authorities are searching for a teenager who did not return to a youth facility after his home visit.

The teenager, identified as Joshua D., was last seen at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday on Carver Street in the Lincoln Heights area of Halifax County.

Joshua was supposed to return to the Dobbs Youth Development Center in Kinston. 

"Due to the unpredictability of juvenile behavior, division officials have a high degree of concern for the safety of both the juvenile and the public," the state Department of Public Safety said in a statement.

Anyone who has seen Joshua should notify law enforcement.
