Striped Wolf, a military intelligence soldier in the 92nd Civil Affairs Battalion, last spoke with her mother on July 1.
The Army's Special Operations Command considered her AWOL and said there were no suspicious circumstances in her disappearance. Still, CID investigators looked into the case and searched a home in Brunswick County on Monday.
Striped Wolf has been in a turbulent relationship with Amanda Cardone, a woman from Brunswick County with a lengthy criminal record, according to Striped Wolf's mother, Janel Striped Wolf.
She said investigators told her that Cardone, wanted for a probation violation, and her daughter were in civilian custody in Florida.
