Arrest made in Durham killing

Investigators arrested a 21-year-old man Tuesday in connection with a May 25 homicide.

Alexis Hernandez Ramirez of Durham was arrested on Ivy Street and charged with killing Juan Carlos Ruiz.

Ruiz, 27, was shot while in a vehicle on Holloway Street near South Adams Street after bullets were fired from a second vehicle. Ruiz' vehicle then crashed into a home.

Police said the incident does not appear to be random.
