NCSU issues alert after student robbed at Mann Hall

North Carolina State University issued a campus-wide alert Tuesday night after a student was robbed on the steps of Mann Hall.

WolfAlert Text Message System — North Carolina State University officials said about 80 percent of students who registered their cell phones with the school's "WolfAlert" system received the message within about 16 minutes.

North Carolina State University issued a campus-wide alert Tuesday night after a student was robbed on the steps of Mann Hall.

Campus police said the student was sitting outside the building on the steps at about 9:45 p.m. when a man approached from behind, threatened him and took his laptop.
