The Durham police officer hit by an allegedly drunk driver Friday is home from the hospital.
Officer Jay Swilley was sitting in his police cruiser on I-85, when someone driving a maroon Ford pickup truck hit him.

Investigators say the driver, Ronald Dunlap of Durham, had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.
Dunlap has been released from the Durham County jail under $10,000 bond.
