Five charged with vandalizing Sanford school

Five teens were charged Saturday with breaking into Grace Christian School in Sanford and vandalizing it, authorities said Monday.

A Lee County deputy saw a vehicle at the school, at 2601 Jefferson Davis Highway, at about 3 a.m. and found that the five had thrown eggs in two school offices, sprayed fire extinguishers in three buses and drove a vehicle on the school's soccer field.

Wesley Michael Holder, 18, of 513 Walnut Drive in Sanford, Nolan James Shoemake, 19, of 104 Simmons Drive in West End, Jonathon Sawyer Williams, 18, of 361 Joe Mathews Road in Sanford, Mathew Charles Hrabosky, 18, of 104 Berkshire Court in West End, and Ethan Samuel Sykes, 18, of 2283 Mays Chapel Road in Sanford, were charged with felony breaking and entering a place of worship, felony larceny, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny, possession of stolen goods and injury to real property.
