Lots of openings to talk about this week.
Bull McCabe's in Durham will close for 10 days later this month to expand its dining area and install a new exhaust hood in the kitchen, owners said. The closure starts March 19. After the upgrades, they will have 100 more seats under a new covered and heated deck and new restrooms. With warmer temperatures coming, it is also good to note that they will have the beer garden this summer.

More about a new brewery coming to Raleigh. Nickelpoint Brewing Company (formerly known as Union Square) plans to open in June in the Five Points area, the Triangle Business Journal reports. The owners envision it as a brewery and neighborhood bar.
The Hibernian Pub on Glenwood Avenue is resuming its regular hours Friday. They have been open for dinner service only this week as they get back into the swing of things. The Hibernian closed in December 2012 after what appeared to be a grease fire. This new location boasts a rooftop bar and two-levels of dining.
Another Broken Eggin North Hills officially opened to the public this week. Located next to the Hyatt House, this breakfast/brunch/lunch spot is a great spot for comfort food. Check out our review.
Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom is opening on Monday on West Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, the Triangle Business Journal reports. More than 100 different beers will be available there.
Apex is getting closer to its first brewery. Brueprint Brewing Company, off of Perry Road, is hoping to open to the public by late May, according to the Triangle Business Journal.
A Cinco de Mayo is headed to Durham. The Triangle Business Journal reports that it will be located at the intersection of N.C. Highways 55 and 54 near the Parkwest Crossing Shopping Center, in the old home of El Agave Mexican Grill. This would be the third Triangle location for Cinco de Mayo. There are already locations in Chapel Hill and Raleigh.
Elementsat East 54 in Chapel Hill is planning to expand. The Triangle Business Journal is reporting that they will be leasing the retail space next door to open a wine bar.
Posta Tuscan Grillein the Raleigh Marriott City Center is getting some work done. The News and Observer reports that the new concept, slated to open in September, will feature South Carolina-style lowcountry cuisine.
Piola in Chapel Hillhas closed, Triangle Food Guy reports. TheRaleigh location on North Hills Street remains open.
Another closure from TFG, Tracey's New York Deli in Chapel Hill has closed its doors.
Frankie's Fun Park off of T.W. Alexander Drive in Raleigh is planning a $2.2 million renovation of its lounge and restaurant, the Triangle Business Journal reports.
Smashburgeris planning to open its first Triangle location in Durham Wednesday. Located off of Erwin Road, this franchise is known for their burgers, chicken and milkshakes like the salted caramel one I keep hearing about!
And one more thing for next week - Baghdad Bakeryis hoping to open on East Chatham Street in Cary next week, the N&O reports. They will specialize in samoon - baked fresh in their stone oven.
