When a car collides with a dump truck, it's usually bad news for the car, and the people in it.
That was the case in Johnston County Friday afternoon, at the intersection of Highway 42 and Cleveland Road.

74-year-old Ethel Bass ran a red light, and her car struck a dump truck.
The dump truck ended up on top of her car. Bass died at the scene. The truck driver was not hurt.
