Warrant: Man was surfing porn at NCSU library

Raleigh police searched the home of a man found looking at pornography on a computer at North Carolina State University's DH Hill Library.

Witnesses called police to the library's Unity Lab just after 11:30 a.m. Thursday and pointed out Nathan Whittle, 36. Officers asked Whittle to step away from the keyboard and found that he had windows open to several teen chat rooms, email and pornographic photos, according to the search warrant filed for Whittle's home.

Officers said they observed several photographs of girls who appeared to be between the ages of 12 and 15 in various stages of undress. A representative of the NC State IT department allowed police to take the computer, which is university property, as evidence.

Police seized floppy disks, a notebook and a smart phone from Whittle's home at Apt. 905, 4510 Mimosa Tree Lane in Raleigh.
