Teen Charged With Statutory Rape at Durham School

Durham police are charging a 17-year-old boy with statutory rape.

Officers say Marion Daniels had sex with a 12-year-old girl in the basement of Durham Magnet Center last Thursday during lunch. Both are students at the school.

School administrators suspended Daniels Tuesday for an unrelated incident.
