9-Year-Old Dies After Go-Cart Wreck

A 9-year-old girl in Robeson County is dead following a go-cart wreck.

Witnesses say Dakota Edwards was driving the go-cart when it turned on its side, partially pinning her.

A passenger in the cart was not injured.

Edwards was wearing a shoulder strap and seat belt.

North Carolina has no laws regulating who can operate go-carts.
