Durham Commissioner May Leave Board

Durham County Commissioner Lewis Cheek may give up his seat.

Cheek is serving his first term on the board. Lately, the corporate attorney has come under fire for representing a developer that was seeking rezoning from the city council.

Some people have complained about a possible conflict of interest.

Cheek, who also spent four years on the City Council, said he will take the next 30 days to make his decision.
