Orange County Commissioners Consider School Tax

Orange County voters may get a say about a special district tax.

County commissioners are looking at a tax that would help fund more than $10 million a year for Orange County schools.

The Chapel Hill-Carrboro school district already has such a tax in place. It brings in more than $10 million a year.

Commissioners plans to study the idea to see if it should be put on the ballot in the fall.
