Police Uncover Pirated DVDs During I-95 Traffic Stop

Police in Roanoke Rapids and Weldon thought they spotted an illegal drug buy on Interstate 95 last weekend.

When police moved in, officers did not find drugs, but instead found a trunk full of pirated DVDs.

The 700 DVDs included some of the latest movies such as "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith" and "The Longest Yard."

Edward Sinkler and Samuel Johnson, both of New York, face a series of counterfeiting charges. Authorities say the pirated copies sold for about $10.
