Henderson Man Pleads Guilty To Murder, Gets 14 Years In Prison

A Henderson man will spend 14 years in prison for stabbing a man to death and raping a child.

Jimmy Lee Branch Jr., 30, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and avoided a life sentence.

Police say Branch killed Perlie Alston last October in Alston's car.

Alston managed to drive to the Vance County magistrate's office before dying.

Police say they still have not found a motive for the killing.
