Bond Set At $2 Million For Man Accused Of Killing Teen Stepdaughter

A Johnston County man accused of killing his stepdaughter won't likely be out of jail any time soon.

A judge Thursday set bond for Ashley Reagan Jr. at $2 million.

Reagan is accused of killing his stepdaughter, 16-year-old Melissa Mayer.

Investigators say Reagan woke up in the middle of the night last month, killed Mayer, and went back to sleep after he had argued with his family about a drug habit.

Reagan went to the police station and confessed to authorities after he woke up.
