Dunn Police Chief Mum On Officers' Demotions

The police chief in Dunn will not say why he demoted three of his officers.

A fourth officer, who is still on his one-year probation, had his probation extended. The punishment includes a 5-percent salary cut.

The chief said by law, he cannot talk about what prompted the action.

The Dunn Police Department has 39 officers. The four in question are all still on the job.
