Man Charged With Shooting Deer In Cary Neighborhood

The person accused of firing a high powered rifle in the middle of Cary is under arrest.

Police say Justin Smith shot a deer in a church parking lot last week, then left the rifle in a bus.

The shooting happened just 100 yards from an area where children play.

Investigators charged him with discharging a weapon in the city limits. He goes to court in February.
