Planning Board To Meet About Proposed Chatham Development

A major development in Chatham County is up for discussion Monday.

The Chatham County planning board will meet Monday night to develop a recommendation for county commissioners on the Briar Chapel development.

Briar Chapel would add nearly 2,400 homes, office and retail space near Manns Chapel Road and Highway 15/501.

Critics are afraid of how the development will impact traffic and taxes.
