Moore County man faces statutory rape charge

Moore County sheriff's investigators arrested a Robbins man Wednesday on a charge of statutory rape involving a 15-year-old child.

Scottie Gene Davis, 44, of 516 Rushwood Road, was charged with statutory rape, indecent liberties with a child and sexual battery.

He was placed in the Moore County jail under a $50,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 9.
