A Fuquay-Varina man has been accused of kidnapping and raping a woman.
Jessie Jermelle Beckwith, 23, of 709 Marjam Lane, was charged Saturday with one count of second-degree kidnapping and two counts each of first-degree rape and second-degree sexual offense. He was placed in the Wake County jail under a $750,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.

Beckwith was released from jail in January after serving eight months for March 2011 convictions for felony common-law robbery and breaking-and-entering, according to state Division of Adult Corrections records.
