Cumberland Officials To Investigate Allegations At Mental Health Center

Cumberland County's Mental Health Center is coming under fire for not reporting some alleged incidents.

The Cumberland County Mental Health Board claims the center did not report allegations of abuse at the Sunny Acres home for mentally challenged children.

According to a former employee, staff members verbally and physically abused the children. The employee says the children also engaged in sexual activity.

Members of the mental health board are calling on the county to investigate the allegations.
