Jury Finds Rocky Mount Man Guilty Of Abandoning Child In Shed

It took a jury less than an hour to convict a man accused of trying to kill his own child.

Theodore Pittman is guilty of attempted murder and kidnapping. He left his infant daughter in an abandoned shed in Rocky Mount in November 2001.

The baby survived two nights in freezing temperatures.

A judge sentenced Pittman to a minimum of 30 years in prison.
