Grand Jury Indicts Raleigh Man On Attempted Murder Charges

A grand jury indicted a Raleigh man Monday on attempted first-degree murder charges.

Police say Victor Achonu attacked his wife with a butcher knife at the couple's southeast Raleigh home two weeks ago.

Authorities say Achonu nearly cut off his wife's hands.

Achonu surrendered to police after he was cornered in the woods near his home.
