Harvest Feast Serves More Than 3,000

Thousands of Triangle residents had a good meal Sunday, thanks to the Harris-Teeter Harvest Feast.

Volunteers took over the Raleigh Convention Center to serve lunch to 3,300 men, women and children.

Anyone in the community who wanted a meal was welcome. Harris-Teeter joined with the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and the Triangle United Way to make the event possible.

Former Harlem Globetrotter Curly Neal entertained the kids, and nine local music groups performed.
