Retired State Trooper Accused Of Assaulting Deputies

A retired state trooper is accused of assaulting two Johnston County sheriff's deputies during a traffic stop.

The deputies stopped Nabe Hardy, suspecting that he had just been in a hit-and-run. The deputies said that, while they tried to questionHardy, he pushed one of them into traffic.

The deputies used pepper spray to subdue Hardy, then arrested him.
