Raleigh City Council Approves Funding For Fayetteville Street Project

Financing for the Fayetteville Street makeover received the green light Tuesday.

The Raleigh City Council voted to use reserve money for the $1.5 million engineering contract.

Officials want to open Fayetteville Street Mall to vehicle traffic in hopes of revitalizing the downtown area.
