Cary playground closed for maintenance

The Kids Together Playground at Marla Dorrel Park in Cary will close for landscaping and maintenance for six days this month.

The first closure is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday. The Cary Teen Council has volunteered to help out on a beautification project to plant flowers, along with adding ground cover and border plants. The project is part of Cary's new Adopt a Spot initiative. 

The playground, at 111 Thurston Dr., will be closed again from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 6 to Feb. 10, for routine maintenance, including pressure washing and minor repairs.
