Apex runaways located, returned home

Police said Monday that two Apex teens who ran away on Friday have been located and were returned home. 

Brianna Gruber, 14, and Roberto Aguilar, 15, both left notes stating that they were running away together, police said. Investigators said they had no reason to believe that the pair, who were last seen Friday at Apex High School, didn't leave of their own accord.

Police did not say where the teens were found. They were reunited with their families on Monday.
