Johnston Teaching Assistant Suspended For Bringing Gun To School

A Johnston County teacher's assistant is suspended for bringing a gun to school.

Deputies arrested 24-year-old Fredrick Foreman Monday at McGee's Middle School. School officials said a parent saw a gun laying on Foreman's car seat.

Foreman, who is also a bus driver, started working for the school district in March 2003.

Foreman has been released on bond. He is suspended with pay while the school conducts an internal investigation.
